Sachiko Kodama, a Tokyo-based physicist and artist, has gained worldwide celebrity for her liquid sculptures. Her pieces are stunning and mesmerizing, and I am certainly a fan.

In this video, Sachiko reveals the science embedded in the project, and the spellbinding beauty she discovered that compelled her to make art out of it.

I thought this video would be an excellent centerpiece for a lesson plan. I want to try and use it to inspire descriptive writing, and perhaps sculture or an installation piece.
