Village Hatshop: Excellent ideas for costumes, may inspire a student to be a hatter!

People love to dress up, reinvent themselves, and pretend to be someone else. Students love to have a school day where they get to dress like a character. It doesn’t happen often enough, in my opinion. We need to infuse education with creativity and opportunity to imagine- always.

Dress-up days allow people to wear masks and embody something ‘other.’ This can aide create writing- poetry, short stories, etc., understanding characters in books and life, and learning about themselves. The benefits multiply.
